Komatsu America began operations in 1970 and today we are the second-largest supplier of construction equipment in North America, with over 2500 employees. In 1996 we formally became known as Komatsu America Corp. (KAC). We manufacture and market Komatsu, Dressta and Galion lines of hydraulic excavators, wheel loaders, crawler dozers, off-highway trucks and motor graders.

Our Global Mining Marketing Division, (GMMD) is the second-largest supplier of mining equipment in North America, manufacturing and marketing the Komatsu loader, dozer, truck, shovel, grader and Modular Mining lines.

Our Komatsu Utility Division (KU), supplier of construction, utility and rental products, markets the Komatsu line of backhoe loaders, compact excavators, compact wheel loaders and compact dozers.

All KAC groups – including GMMD and KU — are supported by Komatsu Parts and Service and can be financed through Komatsu Financial.
